C2G’s FillGuard protects against pressurising non-viscous liquid storage tanks during filling and prevents their over-filling.

The C2G FillGuard is a mechanical device that works on the principles of Hydraulic Differential and Fluid Dynamics. It is a top filling, self venting device designed to adequately fill shallow large volume tanks typical of Diesel powered water pumps, generators, lighting towers and locomotives.

The benefits, previously not achievable with other types of overfill devices, ensure failsafe operation where spillage is eliminated while ensuring tanks are filled to capacity.

C2G FILLGUARD FEATURES:

CONFIGURATION ARRANGEMENTS

Pumps

  1. Fit directly to the top of the tank.

  2. Note: If the tank has a 50mm inlet an additional 80mm diameter x 300mm pipe will need to be fitted to allow for sufficient flow and ullage around the valve.

  3. Remote fitting running an 50mm hose or pipe will allow for remote filling but the valve needs to be fitted to the inlet of the tank.

Light Plants

  1. Depending on the type of light plant there may be sufficient space to mount directly onto the fuel tanks as per pump configuration. However remote fitting is usually the most appropriate.

  2. Remote fitting running an 80mm hose to the inlet of the tank. Note the tank and hose will completely fill so any existing vents fitted to the tank will need to be raised above the fill point or removed and sealed.

Locomotive

  1. For normal flow rates the C2GO-FP80 screws directly on the filler neck, replacing the filler cap, while remaining within the profile of the locomotive. Splash fill refuelling can still take place, at locations currently not fitted with Dry Break High Flow Nozzles, by temporarily removing the C2GO-FP80.

  2. For high flow rates (above 800lpm) it is recommended that tanks are fitted with additional venting to allow a higher air escape flowrate during refuelling to prevent tank pressurisation and premature shutdown of the nozzle.
